I cannot recommend The Dog House highly enough. I have two large and quirky dogs. The first is a 130lb Lab mix. He is friendly and loving, but his size can be intimidating. He loves to play, so small boarding cages and brief walks have not worked for him in the past. The second is a large 80lb Lab. He has a fear of cages, as he is a rescue. He can be timid about new places. He is terrified of being alone. Pet sitters and small boarding cages left him very anxious in the past. Scarlett to the rescue! She has set up a wonderful facility with large runs and a big play yard. Her warm personality is reassuring and helps my pets feel at ease. She understands dogs and seems to know just what they need to feel at home and safe. For a client, Scarlett is a sanity saver. She is flexible and reliable. If you are looking for a warm and safe place for your furry babies, look no more! The Dog House is a home away from home.

Very clean with a wide open yard and large kennels for the dogs. More than that though is the customer service that Scarlett provides. She is extremely flexible and pleasure to work with and more than anything extremely ACCOMMODATING!!!!!! We have used other kennels in Maryland, but as long as she will dog sit our crazy but loving pit bull pups we will never go anywhere else!

We have been using the Dog House for over 6 years. Originally we had two dogs (one very large & rambunctious) and it was hard to find a place that would let them board and exercise together without extra fees. We were fortunate to find the Dog House, where they embraced our dogs energy and made sure they got plenty of play time as well as cuddles. Now that we are down to one dog we still love taking him to Scarlett because he always comes home clean and happy. I love knowing that he is at place where he is treated like one of their own and is allowed to have time to run around without a leash. They are always incredibly flexible with our schedule, many times we have been stuck in bad traffic or delayed due to bad weather and they have been more than accommodating, even over the Christmas holiday. We tried two other kennels before finding Scarlett and the Dog House - there is no way we would go anywhere else!

Based on a co-worker recommendation, we used The Dog House for our "senior citizen" lab mix that had developed a medical condition shortly before our planned spring break vacation. We were afraid to take the trip because she was frail and had shown separation anxiety when placed at other kennels. Due to Scarlett's extraordinary care - our dog made it through our absence. We are convinced that at any other kennel she would not have gotten the attention she needed to survive. Now we have a new dog and continue to use Scarlett's service when we are away. The level of caring toward our pet can not be matched by any other kennel we've seen. We strongly recommend The Dog House.
